Wi Fi

What is Wi Fi? I have not given it a second thought. Except when free wi - fi was available in office and Coffee shops. Honestly I did not know the full form of Wi Fi then. It means Wireless Fidelity. Wi FI is a technology which allows usage of Wireless Lan Internet. Like most discoveries, It did not happen overnight. It was found by accident and was improved over the time. The first technology was ALOHAner in 1971 which connected Hawaiian Islands with UHF wireless packet network. Later NCR corporation and AT & T corporation invented the WaveLan for their cashier systems. To the make the long story short, Wi Fi Alliance formed a trade associations and brought the Trademark for 'IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence. Interbrand , A brand consulting firm came up with the Wi Fi. The full form being Wireless Fidelity.
